The Garden of Motherhood

Just a little reminder for every mama today that the time you invest pouring into the lives of your children has the power to produce good fruit in you and in the lives of your little ones. Seeds are being planted, flowers are blooming, and even in the seasons of drought, God is creating beautiful things that will sprout to life in His perfect timing. Your work is valuable!

I will sing for joy in God,
    explode in praise from deep in my soul!
He dressed me up in a suit of salvation,
    he outfitted me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom who puts on a tuxedo
    and a bride a jeweled tiara.
For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers,
    and as a garden cascades with blossoms,
So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom
    and puts praise on display before the nations.

God’s Love is Everywhere

My son and I spent a little time playing in the backyard this morning. At one point I gazed up at the sky and noticed the beauty of the sun breaking through the clouds. It was breathtaking, so I got out my phone and took a picture. The picture turned out dark since I captured it with my phone, but what a beautiful picture it was. The heart in the sky was a comforting reminder to me that God’s love is everywhere.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

 In my very own backyard, spending time with my favorite little boy…I caught a glimpse of God’s magnificent love. And what a sight it was. God’s presence surrounds us. We just have to pause long enough to notice.
