As promised, I’m back to share another summertime sugar scrub. Be sure to check-out the Coconut Sugar Scrub if you missed it last week! So back to today—There’s nothing like a cold refreshing glass of lemonade on a hot summer day, right? Well, I was recently inspired by Pinterest to try this Lemonade Sugar Scrub—it is the perfect time of year for such a thing! This pampering scrub is a great addition to manicures and pedicures. It will leave your skin feeling oh-so soft and smelling lemony clean.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE THIS SCRUB:
There are only a few simple steps to follow…
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. I decided to use a combination of oils to even out the strong smell of olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil will add a natural yellow color—perfect for this scrub. It is also a wonderful moisturizer. It can be an overpowering smell though, so I recommend combining it with other oils like almond or coconut.
It should look a little something like this.
Package it in a container of your choice {a pint size mason jar works well}. If you are planning to use it as a gift, add some pretty ribbon and creative finishing touches. Simple things like that make a big difference. Oh and, Pssst: since you need to zest several lemons for this scrub, you can use the lemon juice to make some homemade lemonade!
