My mom recently shared this poem with me, and it is a good reminder to keep on doing good even when you feel mistreated or like your efforts go unnoticed. It was a blessing to me, so I’m passing it along hoping that it is a blessing to you as well…

Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

So beautiful! Just Lovely 🙂
Thanks for coming by! Mother Teresa had a lot of wisdom to share 🙂
Oh my, I love this Hannah! It was Exactly what I needed to read this morning. I am going to print this out and put in a frame in my bedroom so that I can see it every day. I’ve never really read Mother Teresa quotes, but I like this one. It’s such a great reminder! Thank you for sharing it with us!!:)
I’m so glad this was a blessing to you Rose! That’s a great idea to frame it and have it as a reminder to see everyday. ❤
“Do what is right, let the consequences follow”
True, Sometimes there is a “cost” to doing what is right in this lifetime, but God sees our heart and is deeply pleased when we choose to do the right thing, no matter what the cost.
