When I reach into my pockets at the end of each day,
I often discover reminders that, yes—I was a Mama today.
Cheerios picked up from the kitchen floor,
A crumpled up grocery list from an adventure to the store.
Tissues from wiping a runny nose and tear-filled eyes,
A rock given to me in love while playing outside.
An empty wrapper from my breakfast on the go,
A tiny piece of squished up, dry play dough.
Wipes soiled in dirt from cleaning little hands,
And so many other reminders that I am Blessed,
To have pockets full of priceless Mama strands.
