PLAY DOUGH! Most kids love it and the wonderful news—It is super simple to make in the convenience of your own home! There are several great homemade play-dough recipes and the one I like best is the Kool-Aid version. It only requires a few ingredients, about 10 minutes of your time, you don’t have to cook it over the stove, it’s non-toxic and it smells great.
1 ½ Cups flour
¼ Cup salt
1 Pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid
1 Cup boiling water
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1) In a medium-sized bowl mix together the flour, salt and dry Kool-aid.
2) Add the boiling water and oil. Stir until it starts to come together and then knead it with your hands for about 5 minutes. Add a little more flour if the dough seems too sticky. It will come together more as it cools.
This play-dough stores great in Ziploc bag or a plastic container with a good seal. I refrigerate mine and it will last for several months this way.
