Celebrating Motherhood

booksMy journey of  motherhood began a little over a year ago and one thing that has helped me along the way is encouragement from others.  My wonderful mom gave me a book when I first became a mom written by Stasi Eldredge called: You are Captivating: Celebrating a Mother’s Heart. I read this book while my son was just a few months old and it offered me the reminder that my role as a mom is very valuable. I think every mom needs that reminder from time to time.  Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom like myself or a working mom, this book is a short read and it’s for you!

“The world often diminishes the role of “mother.”  Moms can feel that their lives tending their children are less noble, less holy, less important than others. But truthfully, the most irreplaceable, essential, powerful, life-impacting role imaginable is being a mother.”

Be encouraged today Mom’s!!!

  1. Some things are difficult to understand if not experienced…other Mom’s, and children, know how important a Mother’s love, attention, and care is!

    • Hi Joni, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I completely understand what it feels like to not be able to relate as much to some things…I’ve been there too. My hope for this blog is to encourage others (both mom’s and everyone else too) and share some of the things I love and am blessed to be able to do. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment!

    • I enjoy your blog and love your creativity! I also saw that you are an Educator and also have a background in Human Development. I studied Human Development in College with my focus in Early Childhood Education. I was a kindergarten and preschool teacher for a few years before becoming a mom. Anyhow, just felt like I could connect to some of your interests. Thanks again for visiting my blog and “liking” some of my posts!

      Blessings- Hannah
